Pixi Beauty Glow Cakes Review

Pixi Beauty has been a force to reckon with in drugstore beauty recently. They have been putting out some awesome new products at a price that won’t break the bank, but are as good (if not better) than some high-end brands. Recently, Pixi Beauty sent me their new Glow Cakes to try and here is what I think of them! You can find them HERE.

To be honest, when I first read that this product was called a Glow Cake, I had no idea what to expect, but I was excited because I LOVE anything that makes me glow. These Pixi Glow Cakes are a 3-in-1 cheek powder offering three shades in an ombre style palette with each palette containing a highlight, blush, and bronzer. There are two different colors available, “GildedBare Glow” and “PinkChampagne Glow.” GildedBare Glow is a bit milder in color – it’s a beautiful peachy-bronze palette that is going to be PERFECT for tanned summer skin. PinkChampagne Glow is a bit more bold with a bright pink blush and a deeper bronzer. To use these palettes you can swipe the colors individually or blend them together to create a beautiful glow!

When I tried these products on my skin they were pigmented and applied with ease. However, the palettes do have a fine shimmer to them which I love, but I do know some people aren’t fans of shimmer all over. The “GildedBare Glow” is wonderful for my everyday makeup look, but the “PinkChampagne Glow” is a little too bold for my pale skin – it will look gorgeous on those with a skin tone deeper than mine.

All in all, I think these Pixi Beauty Glow Cakes are a great product – I love the ombre effect and love to mix the colors on my cheeks. These cheek palettes retail for $28. What do you think of them!? You can find these Pixi Glow Cakes HERE.

I received these products free, but all opinions are my own.
